Getting started without making it worse

Windows 7 can feel calm and familiar, then adware shows up and everything gets loud. Pop ups, weird toolbars, your browser jumping to random pages. I want this to stay safe, not rushed. If you click the wrong “fix” button, it can pile on more junk. So the goal is simple. Slow down a bit, clean what we can see, then scan for what we cannot.

I’m thinking about two things right away. First, don’t trust the pop up that claims it found 900 problems. Second, don’t delete stuff blindly in system folders. We’re going to use boring steps that work. Uninstall suspicious programs, reset browsers, run trusted scans, and check startup items so the adware doesn’t crawl back after a reboot.

Quick ending

Once the ads stop and the browser stays where you put it, that’s when it feels like you got your computer back. Keep one good antivirus on there, update what still can be updated on Windows 7, and be picky with downloads. Adware loves “free” installers with extra boxes checked.
